I will add this, we are all recruiters so to speak as we represent ourselves publicly to our companies. We don't need uniforms for that! Whether you open your mouth or not you can attract drivers to your employer. I never wanted money for that. I just wanted others to experience the job satisfaction I may have.

Lmao at you. I do not nor have I ever worked at Werner. I don't know where you get this idea from. I was smart enough to know when I got my cdl a that I did not have to start with a big trucking outfit like swift, Werner ect.... for experience. I started working at a local company making the money. Probably more than you can comprehend. If i was "not smart" as you say i am, then i would have started with such big company without looking what else was out there before i did.
I've done more research on here that most. As you can see I've been a member for two years but not to many post. That's because my friend, I research what I am looking for. I'm not like these others that have to ask repetitive questions. I apologize if you guys took me the wrong way, maybe I should have clarified myself earlier but was not aware this thread was still alive. -
We are having this discussion because I assumed you were a recruiter. But you are doing the very same thing to me as I did to you. You assume I am "not smart" "think all companies suck" "and I work at Werner". That's three assumptions verses my one.

We all know what happens when we ###uME things. Hopefully we can stop doing that too each other & return this thread to what it was meant to be...for information.

Saw their ad down here in TX and just had a few questions. What is their unloading policy? All Lumpers paid? Do they have enough freight in/out of TX to get me home regularly? I live over in the NE corner of TX.
-
No touch freight. They are getting more customers in Texas. You might call about the ad and get additional info. The director of safety and driver development will be able to answer all your questions. I think the company is great.
Have a good day...Jrdude5, formertaxidriver and StrayKat Thank this. -
Don't do it. This company starts out real nice but once you're here awhile you will find out things are not as you thought. You will max out at .38cpm no matter how long you are here. Forced dispatch. Your miles will fluctuate greatly. And you will find out they really don't listen to you as a driver. Fair warning.
-
This company treats drivers very, very well. Dispatch kept the miles coming and mechanics kept the trucks in excellent condition. Office personnel were excellent to deal with. I only left because my father was ill and passing away. I quit to help mother w/ family farm. I became temper mental on numerous occassions and after each time I was still treated nice by all concerned. If other companies could used OIX as a template, they wouldn't have revolving doors.
