The white knights of the road

What started out to be a really good thing sort of went crazy for a bit....as afar as the monicker "White Knights of the Road " that tag was placed on drivers long before some of us "Really old hands" started driving....I'm talking about back in the 40' and 50's when drivers wore those little leather caps and a tie lots of times...we've all seen the photos. That is where the tag got started.... And that is the way it was...folks helping folks...not scared to stop for fear of being robbed , or molested for a stupid credit-card or an empty wallet. Some folks on here say that its a racist name well , if someone wants to offended they'll always find a way to be offended...funny thing is when you're broken down in the middle of no where , no money , no cell-phone service , and its cold , AND the 1 person to stop and check on you is a truck driver , no matter what color skin he has , IMO would be considered a White Knight................lets stay on the original topic...helping folks out...you don't agree...last time I looked there are a whole bunch of other areas in the TTR forum to post. JimRoy...you and Giggles behave...don't make me get that belt....

You know that some things bear repeating, over , and over , and over again ...it takes that to make "some folks" understand. Of course most folks commenting on the subject weren't AROUND TO SEE THE REALLY GREAT DAYS OF BEING A DRIVER...... too bad, they missed the late 60's and 70's...too bad. How'd you like that turkey pic...awesome huh...................
