I finally got some warm weather. Seems the line is about I-70. Good thing too because bunk heater quit working last night. Can't they make heater that will make it at least a year?

Sounds like you just got the luck of the draw as to when the clutch decided to fail.
I've tentatively decided that floating in low range works reasonably well, especially in stop-and-go traffic like your average Chicago day. Seems not to work as well (at least for me) when in high range. My trainer with six years under his belt said, and I believe him, that he double-clutches every time. I can agree that it's easier on the transmission if you do. -
Clutch!!! Get really good d-clutching before u float. But the first time u do about 20 or more lights and your left leg hurts, than u will really want to learn how to float. I usually float up and double down...but it really depends on the load and terrain.

All trainers say they double...but watch them when they start to go through the gears fast. I caught my trainer floating and he wouldn't tell me what he did....

Sitting listening to the rain on the truck roof in Mogadore drop lot for the night.

Yeah me too in Massillon OH.

Could be what I outran coming through St. Louis. Nasty thunderstorms, booms were loud enough to hear clearly from inside the truck, going down interstate with radio on.
