PRIME PSD Instructors....

Thanks ironpony great info to have and appreciate the follow up. Thats exactly why i asked too my details were left out. It's the typical 3 sides to the story. Lots of info floating around with you experienced drivers just need to ask the right questions and the truth shall surface.

 

This is the whole purpose of my thread docked here in the prime area. If the student knows what to expect, and knows what is not acceptable, these trainers can be called on the carpet and dismissed. I have seen quite a few over the past 6 months get the boot from the training program. There are still a few, but we work hard to get rid of them too. I am a former Army Master Instructor and take this to heart.

 

And you were obviously brought up right too. The way I was. Do the job right the first time so you don't have to do it over later.

 

Sure it makes me look like a great trainer when I can take someone that other instructors screwed up and train them to be professional drivers. I would prefer to not have those instructors screw up good men and women in the first place. It offends me.

 

My understanding is after 2 miles, or 5 minutes the elog will automatically move you to the drive line, as for eating while driving, how did he force you to eat? did he force a sandwhich between your jaw while driving? you are an adult, theres no reason you couldnt eat on your reset My first instructor after I was able to keep the truck between the paint reasonably well allowed me to Drink, and pop a dip in while I was driving, which I saw as 2 of his more redeemable qualities. . .he would also keep me as sleeper berth, and drive on my clock from time to time, which is defintley illegal, but as I learned after griping on this forum, the first phase of training the major focus is on learning to drive the truck, when you go over to tnt you will learn all of the rest, and you will be driving while your trainer is asleep.

All of that being said, there were some negitives with him as an instructor, you should not have been driving your 11 that first day for one
