I arrived with a zipper type folio, that had a notepad in it, and space for a few manilla type file folders for forms that you'll have and need to keep organized.
Don't bring a briefcase, too awkward and yes...you'll be the only one who has one.. :)

Prime lease specs are 62 on the pedal, 65 on the cruise. Company specs used to be 58/62, but may have been bumped. They want that mileage, and cruise gets it (vs the pedal). Cruise also lets the Vorad/OnGuard system do it's thing, from a safety perspective.

Ok so I thought this was cool. I was on my way to work (not Prime yet) and heard a Prime recruiting radio commerical on WSM here in Nashville. I didn't know that Prime had radio commericals. Just thought I would throw it out there.

That's cool! I haven't heard any radio commercials for Prime either. However, I did discover that there is a Prime Floral yard literally a 1.5 miles from my home. I have discovered through my FM though, that they are really just a black sheep in the family of Prime. They are a company that Prime bought out a while ago, and although they haul around Prime Floral trailers, that's about the only thing they have in common.

Sorry...back to our regularly scheduled programming..... :biggrin_2559:

    Check your facts.

Its a very good chance when you hit TNT that there will be at least a couple Floral loads in your future. Prime Floral is a big part of the company with four different locations that are far better equipped than that glorified drop yard they call a terminal in Denver.

Black sheep? Why dont you ask a few L/O what they think of them Flower loads. Even with all the delivery stops, Floral loads are some of the best paying loads in the fleet. L/O are practically begging for a Floral load when faced with the alternative options on freight OUT of Florida.

Trailers are trailers and it doesnt matter what it says on the side of them. Except for maybe the new Intermodal labled ones. Whether it says Prime Inc, Prime Floral, O&S or Yoplait, it doesnt matter. Yes, we have a few Yoplait bannered trailers with the shiny Prime Inc trailer doors.

As a reefer driver Ive carried flower loads in Prime trailers, hazmat in Floral trailers, and anything but yogurt in Yoplait trailers.

What great info! Thank you to everyone for lots of valuable insights and a true idea of what to expect with PRIME.

I'm in the process of looking into starting a career with PRIME. I have been unemployed (by choice) for the past year. Will this create a problem in getting hired?

I imagine you get to see what they pay when you are offered alot of them floral loads since you have a co-driver.... Oh wait a minute, you don't have a co-driver.

Exactly how many 10 stop cross country flower loads have you run as a solo LO?
