8 hour wait too get a tire fixed. This is a little ridiculous. This TA only has one tech working today and they just sent him on a road call. I still have one other truck needing a brake adjustment in front of me.
-
Tell them to hold you for 16 more hours so you can get break down ha ha
-
Still here at Madison. This has turned into quite a project.
-
What did you break?
-
Blew trailer tire on back axle. It wiped out the light assembly on left side. In order to replace thst they are having to cut out old assembly on back all the way across the whole trailer and put in a new assembly. 8hour minimum which prolly means 10-12 here.

12 hrs later Im finally out of shop. Todays shot so gonna rest then try again early in the morning

I live in Newnan, GA. I'll tell ya this much. There's a reason Maverick doesn't have a terminal in GA. Being from GA, you will not be offered Regional (home every week). You will be offered LNG (long haul.. home every 2~3 weeks) and by "Home", they mean at least "thru" the house every 2~3 weeks.
Don't get me wrong. Maverick is a great company, just know that you will not be getting home every week and when you do get home it may mean driving 500 miles the wrong way, just to be home for one night. Again, there's a reason Maverick doesn't have a terminal here.jxu417 Thanks this. -
If you're running 2-3 weeks at a time you should get 2-3 days off. That's how it is for glass and TCD and we are also required to run 2+ weeks at a time.
There's no way I would agree to 1 day off for 3 weeks out.Blind Dog Thanks this. -
I agree, that's why I'm currently sitting at home debating going back.
I like Maverick, but this Home time thing has become an issue. I still think Maverick is a great company, but where I live seems to be a problem. Some folks get home every week. Some get 2-3 days off for 2-3 weeks out, but that's not my reality and the novelty of it has worn thin.
I don't think Maverick sucks or that I'm a bad employee, but I do think that maybe it just isn't meant to be.
