Been starting some research on whether going to Schneider on the Percentage option O/O thing is a reasonable idea. I would primarily like to do shorter hauls (500 mile or less) in the upper midwest. Based on past experience elsewhere, the shorter stuff usually pays better and makes up for a daily load/unload thing. Would basically like to book stuff that would keep me inside of a 500-600 mile radius of the house in central Iowa. Any one have any experience with the how the loads are in this area and if it would be a doable situation? Experience not a problem. 30 years and I have my own 2013 Freightliner. Thanks.

The Schneider site itself is rather lacking in anything substantive to answer the concerns I stated. I have been dialoguing with others at the Let's Truck site. Was interested if anyone here had more input. Based on response, I would say not. The Let's Truck site is probably going to yield better answers to my questions.
