I got assigned my first truck at my first trucking company last week. . KW T800 with an Eaton Super 10. I hated it at first but after I've gotten used to it i absolutely love it.... What is others opinions on it? I was wondering can you float all the gears or just when you're actually moving the gear shift? Because when you move the button it seems you have to engage the clutch for it to shift smoothly

Each time I hit the button and let off the fuel it seems it really jerks into gear... how about downshifting in it? Without the clutch

i think the super 10 is the worst of all of them but if you going to drive it float it.
    My favorite is the 13

How are you doing it by ear or by RPM if the rpms are not right it will jump and rock.
you shouldnt move the stick but 5 times on that super 10 rest of it is the button but you will have to learn the motor in front of it different makes are different rpms

to down shift flip the switch forward ease off the fuel some and give it fuel to bring the rpms to where they need to be. it takes practice and time to get use to it. if its jerking watch your rpms if they are hitting right and its still jerking it could be bad motor mounts. pop the hood set the brakes and put it in 2nd and ease out on the clutch and see how far the motor moves. if it has a lot of movement have your shop take a look....otherwise just keep practicing

If you think a SP10 is great, you would be orgasmic with a SP12..I know I sure miss it!!!

they usually jerk in the lower gears. eventually you'll get used to it and can smooth it out.

it's the worst transmission to possibly have though. so don't expect to be a pro with the thing. and don't be surprised to bust a rear end or two.

i know of a 95 t600 that's on it's 30'th rear end i beleive. it don't even have the stock rear end anymore. sometime before i jumped into it got a different ratio. the rear end only lasts about 6 months. it gets hammered to the point of free play and teeth stop syncing.,
