hmm I wonder why they dont drive nights, but its whatever
Yea it slowed down a bit here... been siting 24 hours. wish it was busy like the last few weeks, everyday called on break.
Actually speaking of trucks, we have a really dark orange twin screw yellow truck with two seats. That is the smoothest riding, best pulling truck we got. Found out it was one of the 20 rejected Holland units. They usually use that truck for picking up drivers out of hours close by, or for training or P/D, I was very surprised they had me use it for the long run yesterday, normally we only use it for short runs just to keep it moving and running

I know it so ridiculous on how there's never any spots. I'm just looking to use the bathroom or maybe grab a quit bite if I forgot my lunch at home.
Well that twin screw is quite nice. But I'm sure your equipment is better maintained than ours. That truck has 4 different tire sizes in the back, the back left side spins, I've written it up but they won't fix. Plus the eng brake is still broken, luckily I was light and went home empty so I didn't really need it. -

our mechanics wont fix the exhaust brake if its broken. The shop supervisors say you dont need it just go... I once had a 25,000 lead and a 22,000 kite and NO exhaust brake. all he said was they will fix it at 135. Took some time but I told dispatch I refuse to drive this truck with this much weight through mountains without an exhaust brake. Eventually they tod the shop to swap it since the driver doesnt feel comfortable about that. Not sure if its just that supervisor though... hes always giving the drivers a hard time... Dont blame me because the guy before me didnt write something up
Yea they still wont change the tires, when you bob-tail they spin... Usually thats our best kept truck too
Our new volvos they say have them "built in to go on auto" I only had one, and it didnt work at all. but i was only 10,000 going and empty coming back.
YEa Ive parked in a fuel island before, gotten a lot of dirty looks, but Ive said to these guys I need to use the bathroom, buy coffee too. Around here its impossible to find open spots no matter what time of day it is.
YEa you told me with that rocky mountain set, you would need it -
Just FYI per DOT dual tires are not allowed to be more than 4/32 difference same side/same axle and found the best way to get jake brake, tires and such fixed is to use the word "UNSAFE" and "DANGEROUS" in caps on your cry sheet, shop has to address the issue, thats for us and always appears to get things done.

I park in the fuel lane every time. I don't bother looking for a place anymore. Besides, they can KMA, I'm only in there for about 5 minutes. Nobody ever gave me crap about it. I think most drivers understand.

Yes, unsafe is definitely a key word. Another key word, if you need an extra hour or 2 of bedtime; fatigue.
