So, I got my license in '84, Chaffeur's at the time, drove whenever I couldn't find a house to build or remodel. Finally started driving mostly localy and regional, then stopped since my son was born with special needs. After twelve years later I tried to get back in a truck, but had to take a "refresher" course with England. Did that and learned more from my Instructor "Top" than I had in the previous 24 years. Been OTR since '08, on my second truck (first one was a good lesson in what not to do in trucking). So OTR now in my (well, the banks) white, Signature Series '07 Columbia with a CAT C15 and 350k miles. Previous owner, a lady driver, kept it really clean and well maintained. First time with an APU, and due to "not-as-strong-as-I'd-like-'em-to-be" batteries in the morning, I stumbled upon this forum, and already found golden nuggets of knowledge to stick in my back pocket. As a novice O/O, I'm signed up with RoadRunner and learning the ropes of finding my own backhauls. It's pretty much a three year plan to pay off the truck, get my own authority while learning as much as I can to make this work. I figure I've got fifteen more years 'till I retire, and I better get this right. Be safe out there and follow the Four Agreements. Happy Trails. Mad.
