That has got to be some kind of typo. Think about it by the time you add a trailer what kind of payload could you haul and be under 80k?

 

I don't give a rip what it says, what it IS, is the weight capacity/rating; 12,000 lb front axle + 40,000 lb rears, just like just about every other ordinary OTR truck (and truckpaper ad listing the same).

 

Why not?? Always need storage space and I would put a motorcycle lift in it.

 

Exactly. Look at the sticker on most any truck, it will read the same, or 50k (38k rears+12k steer), 56k (44k rears+12k steer), as examples.

 

They used to call those Drom Boxes. One of those was my bedroom when we were parked, on my first trucking job running team fresh out of the Air Force. Sure beat going to driving school. Of course, 40 years ago, schools were in their infancy....
