Just wondering, I have been driving a few months now and I havent had any road side inspection or at scales, What should I expect when this happens? Do I have to do the inspection just like I did to get my CDL?:biggrin_2554:

Expect to sit about a half hour or so for the inspection, provide all documents asked for, do as the DOT officer tells you to and all should be fine.

We got inspected and it took them about 35 minutes. Mike had to get out this and that document for them (insurance, registration, etc.) and hit the brakes and such. It was no biggie. Just be respectful and answer all questions asked and you'll be fine.

Oh, and you'll be asked to show your log book, too, so be sure it's kept up to date and you have at least a weeks' worth of logs with you.
