To continue making fun of the tendency for these rigs to be overpowered:

GM V-16 from a locomotive or a mining truck
Two 18 speed transmissions, one being normal and one with super-low gears on the low side/super-high gears on the high side. It'd have two sticks, of course.

It'd be like the bullet trains of the world, only it'd be a truck weighing at most 45K fully loaded. But boy, with 3,000 horses and 36 speeds, would that furniture fly.

some agents will use the local company people to move the crap out, using straight trucks, and then reload it at their facility. This doesn't happen too often, but I have seen it done. Or a daycab will haul in an MT, get it loaded, and then do a drop n hook at their facility.

An TIP, can you imagine how much furniture you could move in a truck that could run 100 mph all day!!!

When I went to Ohio Diesel Tech back in the 80's, one of the instructors there had a 4V-53 Deee-troit with an Allison 6-speed that he managed to stuff in his Dodge Powerwagon. Very unique to say the least.

I always associated the sound of those 'Screamin Demons' with garbage trucks and construction equipment--ain't nothin like the sound of a 6-71 Detroit runnin' full tilt.

Anyway, I forget his name now... but remember the truck... always sounded like the garbage man was comin down the road when he'd pull up to the school.
