Greatwide/American Trans Freight

I was leased to GreatWide for 2 months, Larges pay check 400.00, smallest 0.00. But wonder why? Sitting at a truck stop waiting for a load week at a time had nothing to do with it. (being sarcastic) Then year later I get a call them begging me to come back. I get offered a company job since I lost my truck for the error of signing up with GreatWide and 2 others non paying companies, and Great Wide denies I ever worked for them and I lost the good job offer. The Job I lost was to make runs from NC to Lerado and back to NC

 

I sat and figured out they owe me just under 1500.00 escrow. They kept charging me (6 weeks) for insurance and trailer rent until I owed them 1502.00. Amazing! I'll never get my money.

 

The reason I took this huge paying load is......I had a family member in the hospital who died 2 days after I got home. I was down in Miami, FL and needed to get back to Mt. Vernon, IL. That's why. LOSER!!!! Hope you feel better!!

 

I love the fact they continued to keep charging me for 6 weeks after I quit for trailer rent & insurance. Kept going until my escrow was gone.

 

That 1.50 includes the FSC. They make it sound like your making 150.00 plus FSC. By the time they get done you're paying them to haul freight. Wish I would have ran away like you did.

 

If you want to start name calling I'm not wasting my time on you. The fact is it was YOUR CHOICE to take the load. Have a nice life

 

Btw I didnt "run away" from anything. I'm still at greatwide and still making good money. Sorry to hear about your loved one but it was hardly greatwides fault that you had to get home nor was it their fault you didnt look at the rate clearly before you took the load. As for the escrow if you turned the trailer in where it was supposed to go and signed the reciept of equipment page on the back of the lease then returned it with the company property stated in the lease then you should have got your escrow back. You may have a case in court which I would encourage you to follow.

 

Greatwide has two seperate trucking companies. They have GW Logistics and GW truck load management. Which one do you work for ? Can you name any of their agents (on the truckload managment co.) that has any of their own freight ? There is two that I know of, one in Fl. and one in Tx. but they will only load their own trucks. I know one who talks about her good customer, but that good customer is Landstar. Landstar gives her a few of their loads, if you want to haul Landstar freight for 75% of what the Landstar drivers get for the same loads. If you are an O/O for GW truck load management, who calls you to see where you are with a load ? It's never the agent you got it from, Its the company they got it from. GW gave their O/O a visor calender for Christmas, ask an agent what they got.

 

Theres the gary terminal and one in newark that both have their own freight as well

 

Really? Since GW bought Cheetah from Celedon we've gotten 2 loads out of Jersey (brokered freight from Ca. agent Dustin) most of the time you're deadheading to Pa. or NC. Just deadheaded to NC out of Jersey last week. Have you noticed how many trailers GW has needed picked up and returned to rental offices this month ?
