I did leave for 3 months at one point and don't think I posted at all during that time.lol but ya if I had a choice between entry level being brand new I'd choose may sni or prime. Don't know how sni training is but I heard its only a week. Do you know jimmy. And I won't team drive so I chose may. May has always been good to me so I stay. They re not perfect but work for me. Do they drive me nuts sometimes with micro manage like today when I'm at the pump today fueling and I get a message from weekend dispatch not to forget to fuel and I am currently doing it. Haha I just learn to ignore certain stuff.

At SNI, you spend 10 days at a terminal leanining Qualcom crap, practice backing, obstical course, local driving, then out with a trainer for 10 days, or till your deemed ready. I got no regrets about my time at May. They definately are not at the bottom of the totem. I left because of hometime issues. For a Mega carrier, I like SNI alot. I got a great deal there. It ain't as good as what Scooters got, but, With my experiance, it ain't bad.

Interstate is open fuel and no limit on idle time.

Eureka to Corning is 200 mi or less. 1/4 tank should have been plenty. On the other hand, the fuel gauge on my old 387 is pretty funky and sometimes I use the stick just to be sure. The good news is I don't have to deal with DEF- another thread could be be started just for that. But when your DM makes you stop just to get 50 gals- and of course, the pump stops before 50 and don't get a shower credit- I once asked my DM to bump it to 55 so I could get a shower and my request was denied. Stay classy, May!

Sorry, meant Eugene Ore. On hometime, was drinking beer when I posted that. He was in a 387.

Yeah, I was just ran outa fuel as well. When I told them I needed fuel, I got 7 gallons. Yes. 7.
I called them up and was like, hey, I m running on fumes here... They were sure 7 gallons was plenty, right up to the point I ran out of fuel lol
Then they ask if I can make it to a fuel station.
Uh... I could have an hour ago, BUT NOW THAT IM OUT OF FUEL IT'S TOO LATE.

I got one more day with them, going to run flatbed for System Trans.

    been there man lol
more times with DEF than fuel but I did run out once, after over 100 miles of running when I thought I would have been empty miles ago, ran out right down the street from the gas station, from some cenex they sent me to... waving at the 4 pilots I passed to get there

I understand the fuel, but the DEF is killing me. I got one of those great Pete's with the DEF tank on the wrong side, so I have to go through the lanes backward, or some other method, that usually requires the lanes to not be busy (ie early morning usually.) It did not used to be a big deal because the DEF didn't cut off like it does for fuel, so I would just fill it when I could. Then got a call from my terminal manager telling me to ONLY put 1-2 gallons in at a time.
    I am dead serious!

I do get to use the short line in Layton and Brooks though.

oh i believe you, you dont have to tell me. The last month I was there I ran the truck down below 1/8th of a tank of def 3 times... know what happens once you shut the truck off when its that low? it wont turn back on lol, or it will but you have that derated engine and cant go anywhere. My DM asked for that fuel macro DAILY! it was the only thing she was trained to do it seems, how is it I run out of anything if I am telling you on a daily basis how much I have. Then once I hit 1/4 tank I remind you, again at 1/8th, and again when the light starts flashing. I told night dispatch, right before I was getting back on the road early am, hey, im down to 1/8th, the light is on, I'm at my fuel stop, i need def... know what they said? "that should be enough for a day and a half to 2 days"... o_O yeah maybe if Im not going anywhere, so I said no, I need def and again was told " You dont need def and if you have a problem, you need to speak to your DM in the morning and have her explain it to you" (which I dont think my DM knew what DEF even stood for). 2 hrs later breakdown calls and tells me, i tell them whats going on and that im on the road they told me to stop the truck and get someone to authorize DEF or I'm the one thats going to be responsible.
