I'm looking to make a change. My wife has a dad of one of her students that lost his job and got into hotshot trucking. I'm thinking of talking to him. He is making a lot of money in only his second year. I'm not afraid to work hard. Is there really good money in this? I'm tired of living from pay check to pay check. Thanks

So because someone is a hard worker and wants to make money they are automatically classified as a steering wheel holder? Makes perfect sense to me.

They have an 'Expediter and Hot Shot forum' here (scroll down). That is where you'll find the people who can answer your Q.

All the fellow did was ask a perfectly good and succinct question. He does'nt want to get in over his head to start with..intelligent if you ask me. Why not wait til you have more than a years time before making comments like that..................To the OP post #5 is the best advise....... head over there you'll find all the info you need to get started.

Only going on what I see....age...23....trucker....1 year......Post the the facts and I'll be more accurate. One thing is for certain though...I've never seen a 23 year old that didn't know everything... even how to structure a sentence. Capitalization and punctuation, and spelling count.....go on an grow up son.

Well what the heck does that statement have to do with anything? Because someone wants info for possibly a better job you slam them. Maybe you should get your facts before you put people down for asking simple questions. You can't have much time driving because you are only 23 according to your profile and apparently Tony is worth your time because you took the time to answer him (he should be flattered).

To the OP, Cy Ran had good advise. From what little I know it can be a hit and miss deal with hot shotting, just depends if you can make some good contacts and keep freight on the deck. Your dead heading will probably be pretty high.

    Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
