I'm sitting in Orlando with about 2200 about to pick up and move toward the house. Won't get there until tomorrow afternoon due to my HOS and pick up times. Fortunately delivery is Monday in Crossville so no leaving out Sunday afternoon. I still haven't decided if I want to stay in nights. My astigmatism pays heck on trying to read signs at night.

Hey Guys I need a favor...When you first started in truckload they gave us a card with all the macros in truckload. I can't find mine so can someone come on here and write down the macros for me so I can type them up and use them.

Last week was my first week out on my own and I done little over 3,091 miles.

    Memphis, Tn - Dallas, Tx
    Dallas, Tx - Memphis, Tn
Memphis, Tn - San Antonio, Tx
San Antonio, Tx - Temple, Tx
    Temple, Tx - Norcross, GA
    Norcross, Ga - Memphis, Tn

My butt is dragging but it's kinda good. I'll be giving up this truck in no time if I keep these miles up. I'm currently driving a 07 freightliner columbia with like over 600k. She's not a bad truck but I would expected something newer but I'm just thankful it wasn't a volvo!

@Tnronin I know what you mean, I have astigmatism in my left eye really bad so I have to close that eye when im coming up on a sign at night. I need to get to the doctor to get new eye glasses.

Guy's I'd also like to get some numbers from y'all so I can call you on the phone during the week if im bored or just to see how everyone is doing. Talking to someone while driving always makes the drive so much easier.

So I got 3100 on the odometer last week, peeled off the Crossville load for a Charleston load then off to Kentucky after I deliver tomorrow.

Corysti, I did not get a list of the macros or I would type it out for you. Did you get any help with that? They may have them at the SVC's.

The last three weeks have kept me very busy. Over 2400 miles each week. This week I did a 34 and then headed out Sunday for New Concord, OH. Delivered there Monday then picked up in Columbus and headed to Bristol VA where I delivered this morning. Then off to Kingsport to pick up and head for Washington Court House, OH where I deliver tomorrow. The loads have been stacked on me until now. No load yet for after this one. I am tucked in at the Lexington yard.

Got some bad news on Monday. I am losing my fleet manger. He took a job in a different industry. So Monday I'll be dealing with a fill-in until I get assigned a new one. My FM was awesome. I will miss him a bunch and just PRAY that I get one who is as cool as he was. We'll see. As long as they keep me moving.

So far this week I will have 2,254 as of Friday morning.

I hope everyone have had a good week!

I have really enjoyed reading through this post. I started with Averitt in October and so far I have no real complaints. There are the everyday things that just go with being a truck driver but that's going to happen with any company. As far as miles go I usually average 2000+ a week. I think your mileage depends a lot on where your home terminal is and who your fleet manager is. It also matters how you treat your FM. If your are constantly complaining to them and don't treat them right don't be surprised when your not getting any good runs. My FM has been great from the beginning and is quick to work with me when we come across problems. As far as equipment goes my first truck was pretty worn out with 700 k miles on it. It ran pretty good but I was told from the beginning that I wouldn't be in it long due to the high miles it would be up for sale soon. After 4 months they put me in a 2012 Volvo and other than e-logs it's a good truck. I guess that's about it I'm about to start my 10 hr on the Dallas yard. I have an ltl tonight to start getting me home.

I had me some fun yesterday. Delivered in Washington Court House, OH and then was dispatched to Middletown, OH to pick up a load. Was supposed to be ready at 4pm. I ended up leaving at 1:30 this morning. Had to drive like a mad man to get it to Pacific, MO by the delivery time. Nothing like driving all night when you slept all night the night before. Such is life in truck load. LOL

Now I am sitting at the St. Louis yard waiting on a load. Looks like I'll be waiting until tomorrow. Just under 2,000 miles for the week already though.
