If I'm parking the truck for the night anywhere other than my driveway, there is seldom more than 1/8 of a tank left. Simply put, they can't steal what you don't have.

Locking fuel caps and anti-siphon guards is what I have. Also always try to leave it close to empty when leaving the truck parked.

Anti-siphon is not very effective, someone ramed pry-bar or something simular on both sides of my truck. They didn't get any fuel couse it was almost empty. I just dont get it how stupid one must be to look in another side after seing one side empty.

I had gotten mine at the dealer. However, you should be able to find them at most chrome shops and some truck stops as well.

Do a google search for "2009 Volvo 670 locking fuel caps" and the first link will take you to a truck parts website, where you can find both the locking caps and anti-siphon guards. If you can't find it, let me know and I will message you the direct link. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links on here, if the seller is not a vendor on this site.

If only there were a way to embed a taser in the fuel cap, to be armed when away like an alarm. Though the nearly-empty is really the only practical solution, it isn't a good idea in winter if you live somewhere cold enough to gel the fuel.

We have actually started telling our drivers to plan their fuel stops around their down time, IOW, DON'T pull in for the night and fuel, fuel in the morning before leaving, DON'T fuel when you pull in to park for a 34 reset, fuel when you are ready to head out, DON'T fuel when you truck will be parked at you house (or close by) fuel when you are going back on duty.

    Just common sense really.

I think in some, maybe a lot, of these cases, whoever is stealing this fuel isn't going around tapping on tanks or looking with a flashlite to see how much fuel you have, I believe they are sitting at that TS, just watching for who is fueling and then parking and leaving that truck, JMO
