I am in Semi Retirement.I am down to part time trucking.

I can't believe how much better i feel and how much my whole attitude has changed.I am alot happier and even thinner.I lost weight and i am excercising.I have a ''personal'' life with REAL PEOPLE i see everyday. It is nice to be ''part of'' again.I shipped out 20+ years ago and never seen how much i lost over the years, until i came back home.

There is a good life after the dirty game of trucking..Your on the right track.Good luck..

Honestly, this is what I see for me in the future, part time, do it more as a hobby than as a job. When I need a little break from the other business ventures I can hop in my KW and take a little paid vacation.

I have a great starter set of tie down equipment and tarps in the clasified section. Also the Pete you see in my profile is for sale. PM me if interested. I sold the only trailer I had which was a 48' 102" dry van. Was looking for a stepdeck but have decided to slow down and take a local driving job. Daytime hours, no weekends and no overnites. Hell yeah! :yes2557:

A good thread,,,I have thought about this in the past. I am sure there are a lot of drivers out there hanging it up and this is a good place to sell there whole operation.

I have a 2000 Intl 9400, a 2004 Transcraft 53' stepdeck. I can throw in ramps, tarps, chains, binders, straps, everything you need for $42.5k.

Or if you prefer I could make the deal with my 05 Intl 9400. It would be 50k that way and frankly the 2000 is a better truck. But it's up to the buyer.

Not a bad deal Oscar, them W9's sure do hold the value. Kiem has a bunch of the newer Reitnouers also and I think these are real solid trailers. Good luck with the retirement plans!
