It is totally stupid to say the least.
If a guy is driving 70 and it is 65 and someone pulls out to pass the slower truck, and not speed over 65, they blow a gasket.
HOWEVER, if they are running 70 and the cars have a higher speed limit they do not see the problem of blocking the lane. In addition, they do not have a problem blocking the lane at their slow 70 when the guy in the truck wants to do 75.
It is now about everyone for themselves.
In other words, be professionals and deal with it.

I agree with both of you. Roadmedic's last sentence fits right here and in most other situations.

I hear more griping and moaning about being blocked by a slower truck on the east where the speed limit is 65-70 than I do back in Texas where the speed limit is 75-80. I've had racist language tossed at me due to my company being Muñoz Trucking because I dared to pass a truck while doing the 65 mph speed limit in Pennsylvania than I do passing a slower truck at 65 in a 75-80 zome back in Texas.

It's not impeding traffic if you drive the posted speed limit in the passing lane. The problem LEO's have is when people linger in the left lane. If you aren't passing anyone, keep right. That's the law.
LaBubba Thanks this. -
if i see a vehicle coming behind me, ANY vehicle, i get out of the way
unless i am already in the right lanefreedhardwoods, DocWatson, Numb and 1 other person Thank this. -
I never have and never will. I will not dummy my driving down one bit to throw the red carpet down for some idiot that feels they are above the law. I will change lanes when I want to. Not when you want me to.
*and before someone gets any ideas*
If I'm in the left lane, there's a reason behind it and it's not to tick off people behind me.LaBubba, rocknroll81, driverdriver and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't yield for nobody that's suppose to yield.A driver asked me last week why I never get over when cars ars coming from the ramp.I told him why should I,I have the right of way.Anymore that yield sign is just a suggestion.Ghost Ryder, rocknroll81 and LaBubba Thank this.
