I started with swift, now i drive for prime. I don't sit near as much now. Both companys have new trucks, but prime installs power inverters, and an apu in all of their trucks. Swift will not allow you to install your own power inverter. Prime allows you to drive off duty (when legal ) swift will not allow you to do this. Home time is about the same, but it is a lot easier to arrange with prime. Starting pay with swift is $.25/mile and a little extra when running in the NE, prime is $.41/mile with a light weight truck. If you live close to I 95, prime has dedicated routes, and pays an extra dime/mile.

Who ever you go with, take what the recruiters tell you with a grain of salt. I think they are all idiots and liars.

Sleeper is smaller, but the passenger seat is optional. I think it's worth it.

Oh no, I insult the recruiters, and one pops up.

You're not going to like this, but it can take a couple of weeks. You might have to be a slave for a year or so (but if you can stick it out) a whole new world of jobs opens up to you. good luck!

You gave me a headache early in the morning. Clarify something for me...do you already have your CDL?

You are going to have to change your mentality. You are in your late 30s. You were shacking with a girl and working for her dad. She started her old habits and you protested without having a pot to piss in. Are you stupid? Don't you know, "Beggars can't choose"? No offense dude, but if everything in your life (your dwelling place, and employment, even your cat) is dependent on your relationship with her, you should have not said anything. You were bumming.

now you have 2 weeks to make something happen, otherwise, you're outdoors. If you don't have your CDL in hand right now, you are up poop creek without a paddle. Everyone is saying, don't go here, go here...etc. You'd better take the first gig offered to you and stick it out 6 months. Don't even mention home time. You need to work and work hard. Questioning recruiters looking for a sunshine injection? The only question you should have is ,"Hey, got a job for me? I would love to start tomorrow!"

Was not about to re-run your entire ad,,but it sounds like this post here belongs on craigslist...I think a phone number for the young man and the name of the company will suffice...:biggrin_25513:

Give Roehl a call, they should have an answer for you within a day or so, could be as short as a couple hours. They have thier own school that you can either pay for outright or finance( with decent credit), you will get the same starting pay either way. They have van, flat, and reefer and a drop yard in the Philly area so getting "home" would be easy. All the recruiters work directly for Roehl and will not lie to you. Depending on need for drivers they may be able to get you started in a couple weeks
