Kicked off two loads, loaded and tarped another two and drove 600 miles. Oh ya that was just Thursday LOL, and to top it all off I ended up at the house on a Thursday! Sunday I'll do the 600 mile run down to da fort.
-
2976 with 4 tarps. Would have been 23 something but swapped with another Maverick Saturday for an extra almost 600 added to the week.
-
you can't run that many miles on elogs. LOL
At least that's what I heard at the lunch counter at the truck stop. -
Have heard the same. Did help having 2 drivers (1 that knows how to back up) in the truck and before I get accused of team driving. We do not drive team at Maverick. Come to think of it, that was one of the first questions new student asked was why Maverick didn't drive team.
-
I've done 3200 in one week before here at Mav, but there was no tarping involved LOL.
-
We don't officially run team. Did it when I was with my trainer, but those were special circumstances and it wasn't really true team driving, I drove till my hours were up and he finished off the final 3 hours or so of driving to get to the delivery on time. I think we did it twice, and no one said anything because it really was the only way to get the load delivered on time, and it's not breaking any DOT regs, just bending Mav's policy.
-
That's not against Maverick's policy...you can do that as long as you both are logging on-duty or driving.
-
Thats where the bending comes in, the trainer was logged off duty for awhile to avoid running his hours out. He was still in the front seat, just off duty... I think they let it slide because it got the load there on time and it didn't break any actual laws.Evil_E Thanks this.

Well, I think that's garbage! What's the student going to do when he's solo and runs out of hours for the day? My humble opinion, run 1(one) 14 hr work,11 hr drive day. That will help teach the student how to plan and manage time. I'm not starting anything, I'm just saying.
