On Schneider's Choice program, lost 3 loads due to shipper cancellation in the past 2 months. It always happens the day before pickup and I lose all preassignments. No compensation at all. Anyone have input as to how often this happens? Also had to return 206 miles to a shipper and would like to know how I should be paid and lost my loads after the return. Everytime something of this nature occurs I lose hundreds of dollars.
Oh yeah, was sent to a wrong address 2 hrs out of route and was told if I did not finish the load (lost three other loads because of it) I would not be allowed to pick others loads. I have been on Choice for 3 months and this seems over the top to me.

Did you every think that the shipper didn't cancel, Schneider just found one of their trucks to put it on.
cetanediesel, windsmith and magoo68 Thank this. -
If that is actually what is happening, and it's not written into the contract that Schneider has the right to do this, then the OP probably has a case for a civil suit against them. When an attorney files a civil suit, he will demand that Schneider turn over all of their records pertaining to those loads, and the truth will come out. I'll bet they'd settle quick rather than have the truth come out.

Just 3 loads in 2 months ? Welcome to the world of being a O/O

Old Man,
Yep, heard this before, now I just have to cover my ### next time it happens. -
I discussed this with them and was told they could not pull a load and give it to another driver. I will keep a record of all lost loads and if I hear differently an attorney may be the only route.

Yeah thanks, this crap sucks for sure, and if it continues at this rate it will be bye bye.

Just hang out at the shipper and wait for the company truck that comes for your load.
SGTSmokdU Thanks this. -
Or just go pick up the load anyway. I backed in to a dock at Rock Tenn once, then went inside to check in and saw that the truck next to me had the same load number. I discussed the situation with the other driver, and he ended up dropping the load since he didn't want to go where the load was delivering hehehe.
