They also do orientation in Gary, IN, Ellenwood, GA and Appleton,WI. Dont wait to long to go, some companys wont take you after 90 days of graduation of your school.

Grand Prairie does do orientation for new students that have CDLs that are going into the National fleet, however the class is limited to 3 students and is only held twice a month. If the class is full with Texas regional then it is possible that they will send you to a different terminal. There is only 2 orientation instructors at GP. One for new student and the other for experienced. The other terminals have more orientation instructors.

    Thanks TexasPhoenix

Thanks for the explanation. Makes no difference to me, Texas would have been closer and easier, but I don't mind going to Marshfield. Got my Class A March 29th so I'm pushing the 90 days before I need a refresher.

Thanks for the uptick comments on Roehl, I have been reading and considering them for some time and I think I am going to hook up with them, as well. The fee for the course sounds pretty reasonable and their equipment and scale of operations are good indications of a prosperous company. Prosperity comes from doing good work at competitive prices and satisfying a market.

At 61 I may have to get some bp medication, lately I have been seeing some blood pressure readings that are a touch high but is probably the result of a long winter of being a sedentary tax accountant. I need to get 'on-the-road' and roll with some good folks. Roehl sounds like a pretty good outfit to deal with.

I'm in day 4 of my RDTC, and these guys are fantastic here. I have Bob for my trainer and I couldn't ask for better. He's calm, patient, and very easy to work with. I've learned a ton from him. When I walked in Monday I had never sat behind the wheel of a semi. By yesterday I was driving one with a loaded trailer around the city of Marshfield. This is a top notch school and I couldn't recommend it more.
