As close as they can. It really depends on trainer availability/proximity to you. You could get a trainer that lives in Georgia, be prepared for that. But Maverick will do all that they can to pair you up with someone as close to your domicile as possible. Check out this thread: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ny-questions-for-driver-trainer-maverick.html
Sarge was my driving instructor. Lots have asked him questions aimed at a driving instructor. Feel free to do the same. He ain't too scary.... he is the Maverick posterboy... we have started calling him "Hollywood." He now stars in the recruiting videos and all of the pictures and literature for Maverick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-BP1ISP-Ms&feature=youtu.be

On average (to the best of my knowledge and personal experience) you could expect like 30 people on the first day of orientation. By the 2nd day it will be down to like 22-25. After the physical a few more will vanish. So down to like 18-20 now. 4-5 of them will be TCD and they will go out with their trainers straight out of orientation pretty much. So the flatbedders and glass guys will be all that is left to go thru the barn. By the end of the barn training, your class may graduate around 10-12. Most if not all will make it thru 3 weeks with a trainer and eval out successfully. 4-5 will be gone after 6 months for whatever. By the end of the first year maybe 5-6 of your class of flatbedders/glass haulers will remain. This is a hypothetical, based on my experience and from watching the program as a Maverick.

The "anything is possible" option was true with me. In my class a few got kicked and dropped within the first few days. But then almost everyone stayed. One student got booted the last day because they hid a shoulder injury. So on the final day I think we still had 23. No TCD and I think 3 or 4 glass.

My trainer is from Oklahoma...so yeah...it happens. On the plus side he's awesome. Perfect balance of patience and giving me barely enough rope to hang myself. We're having a grand old time and maxxing out every minute of every day.

If you've been reading this board, you know to mind your p's and q's when you get down there. Good luck!

Sweet! Good luck. Take heed to the advice you see on here about orientation and Barn training... Seriously.
