CAL has a lot of trucking companies,but they are all the mega otr;s,and i do not want to just drive,i want a decent check.Also,to compound the problem,the cost of living is sky high.And the dmv is a lot worse because CAL is strapped for cash.My co-driver got a ticket for bypassing a weigh station,which had a closed sign.It was the one southbound from victorville going down the hill.They pulled him over,directed him back,did an inspection,and he got a nice size fine.they also told him they could throw him in jail.And we were running empty!!Like I said,CAL is not a good place to be.AZ is where I want to go back to.

 

i needed a refresher course,so i went to school.details of that are in a few other posts.I was first seat on the truck,and was sitting in the 2nd seat when we passed the weigh station.I saw the closed sign,and a lot of times that weigh station is closed,unlike the grapevine ,which stays open like a dennys.If I were driving,i would have caught the weigh station snafu,but thats life.I got a job with a company starting up in Mccallen TX.I am hoping a small company values it's drivers more than these mega ones do,as new companies want to grow.

 

primarily.Right now it's Texas to New Jersey,but the owner is looking to open lanes to CAL,which is why he is looking at me and my former co-driver.Will run solo a few month's,then team again.

 

Do you drive for England.Not stopping off for bathroom breaks is actually in their employee handbook at the school.We used to get qual-com messages instructing us not to stop.W estern division sucked.That is why we went to 48 state.We stopped anyway,but the point is it is there attitude.
