Congratulations! Maybe you WILL get it. Good luck.

You won't regret going into hauling gas. It's a very good steady business and there is much to learn. Don't get complacent and assume you've cracked it on the knowledge
and experience side of it. It's just one of those businesses that can bite you in the ### at anytime especially when you let your guard down, it keeps you honest. But I enjoyed this side of trucking immensely and although I haul chemicals now OTR, I'm looking eventually to get back in the gasoline business.
Good luck !! -
That means you've passed the first among many hurdles. You've passed the experience requirement now all you have to do is show them your clean record, how good you drive, and you're not in debt. Don't be overwhelmed with all the paperwork and the 50 other drivers there. And be ready for the loading rack. It's the fastest in the west with many lanes. Drivers claim it takes 7 minutes to load there. Of course if you make it that far then you'll have someone with you for how ever long it takes to be safe.

GasHauler, are you referring to Vinvale?

Like Gashauler said... Good luck with the interview process! I'm a new gas hauler myself, and there is a lot to learn, and I continue to learn everyday. Biggest thing I have found, get a routine, and stick with it. And ALWAYS double and triple check everything you do before you hit a button or pull a lever! Good luck! There are many guys here with far more experience than me, but I certainly am available for any questions, what to expect with training, loading racks etc, as I just recently went through it.Zangief Thanks this. -
Hey you weren't the fuel hauler I heard on the cb in St Paul tell one of his co-workers not to call him on his cell phone because he bent over and dropped it in a tank were you Dieselgeek?
-
Today was my first day at a fuel company. Whoo I'm overwhelmed. Tomorrow I'm dropping a dry van and hooking a tanker semi a few hours away. Backing a truck and trailer is no easy task but it sure is cool how you can squeeze it into a station vs a semi. I'm stressed out but excited.

YES. That's the only terminal in L.A. There's Colton but 99% of their drivers transfer from Vinvale.
-
Haha, no. No cb's in our trucks... I have heard some stories of guys loosing keys, pens, etc down the pipe. One of the guys got his keys back a few years later after the store closed and they removed the tanks.MJ1657 Thanks this.
