...kind of a sobering thread. ...
I was rooting for GR... -
Did he already get his CDL or no?
-
I was wondering the same thing. And does 'walking through another door' mean a different instructor? A different company? Or a different career altogether?
-
I assumed that it meant another career
. ..hope I'm wrong -
me too
-
Yep. I was assuming the same thing, but I don't like making general assumptions. It would be nice to know the real story. In any case I wish GR the best in whatever he decides.

Sorry guys, I have been busy getting my affairs in order and have other priorities.
In a nutshell, before I took the trip to Prime I was in Aviation school to be a pilot. Unfortunately some money that I was expecting didn't come through in time and I ran out of funding. I had to go to plan B which was trucking. A week into my training while I was waiting to be picked up by a new instructor, those funds came in. So, I made a decision to go back to flying which is where my passion really is.
I tried the trucking route, and to be honest I think if my experience wasn't so bad like it was with my first instructor I might have stuck it out. But I think the bad experience I had made my decision that much easier.
No hard feelings against Prime. I think Prime is a TOP NOTCH company! Anybody starting out in Prime should count themselves VERY fortunate, you could have picked MUCH, MUCH worse!
I wish you all the best. Keep the shiny side up and maybe I'll catch you on the radio if you're passing by Oxnard! I have my CB mounted in my Jeep now and will be able to catch some of you passing through Calif...
Cheers....superpet39 Thanks this. -
Maybe one day you'll get your CDL too lol. Pilot license, CDL ........you'd TRULLY be able to drive anything lol......anyway good luck to ya.
-
good luck , and god speed, your gonna find the difference in flying and driving a truck to be very little , cept you can turn on the auto pilot and you have to make smoother landings in a plane. Taking off is about the same.... And if your lucky you got a stew who is not hard on the eyes to bring you coffee all the time lol be safe keep us posted...
