That's a good point, I have heard a lot of drivers complain, but never look to change companies. Or even get out of the industry if it's that bad, they wont consider making their situation better. I find myself avoiding talking to other drivers more often than not because they're frustrating and just bring me down. I like my job.

I notice a lot of these drivers suffer from depression.. You can tell, they have that look on their face, like a sad puppy dog.
Problems at home, with finances, etc, it's a shame.
All they care to talk about is how bad their job is, it's a real drag.
Eventually they take their anger out on someone (OP, for example).landstar8891 and truckon Thank this. -
You are so correct Sir.You should of seen the look of the A1 drivers of years ago. Many happy truckers and willing to help out a driver.
Today the ''mental illness'' runs rampid through the trucking business and no one wants to say a word about it..They use drugs, food, alcohol and Sex to wash away the sad puppy depression blues and mental illness...It is a shame to see what this business has became in the last 30 years. -
You lost the ability to file an assault charge when you confronted him the second time you saw him.
You no longer were a reluctant participate, but an instigator of the situation.
You are as much to blame now as the first guy.Ghost Ryder and losttrucker Thank this. -
Tire thumpers, to me anyways and probably many police, not considered a weapon unless you actively threatening someone with it. Neither are cheater bars for that matter
. The weapons they are looking for that be more of a threat is guns and probably fixed blades but if a fixed blade was under the seat and not on you I doubt they'd even say anything about that

Had he started it to begin with? Sure. Had something started when he confronted him the second time? Possibly if the police looked at it that way but who is not to say perhaps Pete chased him down after the first encounter? Then possibly the original troublemaker would have been the only instigator. However if something started after the first encounter at different times and places the second would likely be considered a whole nother situation. Both would have been charged , that is if Pete could prove transam started the whole mess at the loves.
