If I remember right, Swift has their heavy haul in the Pacific Northwest, California area. Hope that's where they took that photo...otherwise you might be right . If Jerry is expanding the RGN, the market will follow. :(

Sitting for the moment in OKC West. Had a hell of a week. Took rail from Pueblo, CO that was a PITA and wasted a day getting it scaled twice to prove to them I knew what I was talking about. They finally agreed to take some off the next day. 45k lbs of 40' rail on a 48' steel step deck does not allow for many to be carried. Then delivered those to Kansas City and North Little Rock...then got dh to Catoosa,OK for some valves and such for Parachute, CO. Finally went across 70 west of Denver for the first time....only because I knew it wasn't going to snow. :D

However, my next pickup was in Aztec, NM and I made the mistake of going down US 550 and finding out why it's called the Million Dollar Highway. It was a singular (and it will stay that way) experience to say the least. Thank GOD I was empty making that "exploratory" trip. :( Picked up some plastic pipe in Aztec which brings me to where I am now...heading home finally.

By the way, if this is where that discussion was about the step decks, with the steel Fontaine, I was at 34,300 with full tanks, DEF and tarps on it. Without the trailer, the truck is 21,000ish. Heavy they are. Finally dumped it in Catoosa where I got an alum flatbed with no paperwork in the holder, a load that needed reloading to be secured and a brake chamber with a leak that even a dumb driver would have figured out, which makes me wonder how dumb the one that left it for me was.
