Sheriff, The same thing was happening with me recently, I was in South Dakota with home time scheduled in 3-days and they pre-planned me to Kansas. I spoke to my DM (Ron) who said to just Macro-9 the preplan declining it with the reason "Home Time Request for...date" It worked well. The planners qualcomm'd me and said that if I took the load to Edwardsville, KS terminal for T-call, they'd get me a load to Sumner. They did! I was only one day late for my home time. I have had good luck with my home time requests @ Swift.
The start of my first year with Swift.

I'm back on the road today after spending four days at home. My luck certainly hasn't changed.
I went out to start my truck and the batteries were dead. Nothing was plugged in so there must be a short somewhere. I tried to jump start it with my pickup, but had not luck. I then set the battery charger on it for 1.5 hours and still couldn't get it started. I finally called onroad and they sent someone over from the TA. They got is started right off.
I head over to the Boise drop yard to get my trailer. When I arrive my trailer is gone. It had my lock on it and I figured they needed it and my lock was cut off. I called my DM and he suggested it may be over at the NEW Swift drop yard. Hmmm, information that might be shared. I got directions and sure enough there it was. I hooked on and sent in a msg asking for emergency fuel as I didn't have enough to make it to Snowville. I got 50gals in Mt. Home and headed out. I decided to listen to the news and turned on my radio. The only problem is that now my radio doesn't work. A lovely day.
I get to Snowville and the fuel approval had timed out. My DM couldn't open me up for any there so he tried to open it up at the terminal in Corrine. When I got there I couldn't get any. The dispatcher told me I no longer had a load on and didn't need fuel. I said that was fine as I had all of 2/8 of a tank and could get fuel someplace when I got another load.
That all happened at 1430 today. It's now 2030 and I still don't have a load.
It's great to be back. -

Here I sit in Corrine. I've seen several trucks come and go. The row I'm parked in is empty except for my truck. Guys are coming in and out of the terminal with paperwork and off they go with a load. I asked the guy at the front desk what the loads looked like for the day and he told me it was really slow, but they expected a bunch of loads for tonight. It looks like I'll be putting if for layover pay once again. Perhaps I should have become a "Starving Artist."

I dont know whats going on here in AZ, but this week alone I've seen five different Swift trucks pulled over around Phoenix and 2 coming from Flagstaff.

Where is this terminal in Corrine? I can't think of it. At the Walmart DC?

I finally got a load yesterday, well actually last night. I'd been up all day and was given preplan for 2040 hours. I tried to sleep, but now luck. It seemed like the wait was forever, but it was finally 2030 and the load was ready. It was a reefer and very top heavy. I made the deliveries on time and am sitting in Montrose, CO waiting for my time to reset so I can head back. I sure hope I don't have to wait that long for another load.
