Fixed it for you. What I find interesting is this poll the first three answers are the same. Yes, I've had problems with landstar so that means 60% have had problems with landstar. The up side to this is once you know how they are you find where the real good paying loads are. Once I started back off on amount of loads I pull for them my CPM overall improved. SUPPORT YOUR SMALL BROKERS. They're where the loads originate anyway.
Landstar no longer a good company

Im thinking the best way to handle all this bs is for all of us drivers to just park our trucks for a week. Lets see how the government handles that. Lets see if we can get fuel prices down, freight pay up, and some of these fricken rules gone. I dont know about u other drivers but i know when i need sleep. I dont need anyone telling me its time for bed. Just saying.

Eventually we will need to have our BMI under a center % or we cannot renew or medical card. The DOT and all the other alphabet soup organizations seem they do not want truckers on the road. Maybe I should just quit and live off of welfare?

can you sleep when you want to on welfare???? or is that the same BS regs as trucking?? LOL.

absolutely wrong! Sorry! the first in line is you, because a LSTR agent is making more money moving that load with you then with a LSTR truck. Just run the numbers!!! I'm not blaming the agents. They are here to make money, like us, all.landstar8891 Thanks this.

But they will never get the ''professionalism'' and dedication from the outside carriers like they do with us...

Pretty sure you just underlined his point. You've been here 15 years and you love it. Congratulations. I've been here 4 months and I echo what the other drivers were saying, except for the no pay to go get a trailer. I'm sure Landstar used to be a great company to work for, and probably still is if you've been here long enough. As for now, it's pretty sad. I'm giving this one last route a chance and, if it doesn't work out, I'm outta here. I've heard good things about Oakley. There's too much wrong with Landstar to list individually, so the summary is that they support the agents 100 percent of the time and will support the BCO zero percent of the time. Oh, sure, they'll feed you all kinds of syrup and offer you advice that doesn't help and doesn't work. Their "advisors" are a sad joke. The load board is absolute garbage. If you're planning on coming to Landstar because of the load board and you think you'll be able to plan yourself out and back, stay where you are or find another company, because that stuff doesn't happen here. On the other hand, if you want to gain an appreciation for the company you're with? Come on over to Landstar and they'll send you back to that company with a great fondness and appreciation for them.

Correct..I just did a ''round'' trip again for an Agent. It was 610 miles on the hub.It was 5,000 lbs down to PA and reload at same dock. That was 9,000 lbs back..I did it in 11 hours and i am back home in my bed.
The gross was 2,440.00...FS was .50..Paid miles were 580...
..Not bad for 11 hours..

That's about $1300 after landstar takes their part and fuel comes out. Not bad for 11 hours of work.
landstar8891 Thanks this.
