Freightliner Columbia coax/stud/mount question

plug and play is for wussys... with any sence someone could fuger out how to run some new coax. if your good you could run it out the top of the mirror arm and in to the housing. as to not mess up the heated mirrors. i go back to the office monday and im going to pull the door apart and ck it out also want to run a 12 gage wire down the passenger side and pull up a ground and hot for the CB out of the panel so that later i can hook up a TIM ALLEN RADIO... (see who gets that?) i think i need a good easy quick disconnect for my radio cus you don't leave a good radio at our yard. "THERE ARE NO THIEVES THERE BUT STUFF JUST COMES UP MISSING" and scene all the freight liner keys are the same its hard to prove who took anything.
what do ya'll think of using a extension cord male and female plug as a quick disconnect?

 

i think good idea but where you going to find a 00g extension cord? Thats what tool time is about. <insert grunting here>

 

I know this thread is old and dead, but can we resurrect it long enough for someone to tell me how to get the mirror covers off? Someone hit my mirror and it snapped off my antenna at the stud inside the mirror cover, so I need to get in there to replace it. Already took the two torx-head screws out, which made one side loose (I can pull the inboard side of the cover out about an inch), but the outboard side seems like it has another screw or clip holding it on.

I appreciate any help.. Getting really bored not being able to talk to anyone.
