I have read every post in this thread and no where has anyone said they were driving 20mph over the speed limit and tailgating. Now youre in the realm of assumption as to the circumstances of the OP. Argue your record of perfection not something you pull out of your hind-end.

Many of us do, and I have observed this in my time driving a truck. Like I earlier noted, I've seen more dangerous truckers on the road than I have seen dangerous 4-wheeler drivers. So-called 'professionals' think breaking traffic laws is OK.

 

Again, assuming he rides/drives while intoxicated. No where did he claim to do this.

 

Typically I wouldn't, but I won't post personal information on the internet. But I'll tell you that you won't find a single speeding ticket or reckless/careless driving ticket on it. Why is it so hard for some of you to believe?

 

I started driving in 1999. There is more of the tail gating being done now than was then. At times, I just think of them as 4 wheelers in big trucks.

 

Could this be because of the HOS forced upon drivers by the FMCSA? From what I read and hear on the radio it sounds like everyone is in a rush to get to their next stop. With the new rules taking effect in June it just might get worse. Funny thing is the industry as a whole is safer today than they were 20 years ago.

 

You will give it to shippers theyare even required on tch checks ...funny...
