I picked up a relay at the Bensalem yard that was heavy (34,600) on trailer. It was loaded in Carlisle, Pa. where the driver had a choice of 3 different scales within 15 miles to check the weight. Roehl wanted me to take it back to the shipper to have them fix it. I told them no, they needed to get the driver that dropped it there to come back an fix it cause I wasn't going to ruin my CDL. They took the load off me.

Got my load home to Orlando coca cola. Super early appt. grabbed the trl this afternoon ended up at FJ in Jackson. Gotta scale anyway, get a shower and get closer tomorrow. Rather drive than sit all day tomorrow.

Dropped in Green Bay, now sitting for nine hours waiting for load to Oklahoma that I'll drop in Marshfield so I can pick up a new truck. 200 miles today and 150 tomorrow is only ok if you get a new truck to drive in the deal.

Ended up being grossed at 80,060 with a team condo. I found a note in the paperwork that said with full fuel. So I figured I was good mid roof and 1/2 tanks. Made it and now home for a few days.

Glad you made it home. 80,060 is a lot easier to deal with, especially if your tanks were full. You would burn off enough fuel to get it below 80,000 in no time. The last time out I picked a relay up in Gary. It was 43,000 and no scale ticket. Of course I went into the office and asked my FM if they were charging to use the scale at the terminal now because I didn't get one. I don't know what the deal is. Its $10 to run up on a CAT Scale and Roehl reimburses you for it. Heck the ones at the terminals are free!! I guarentee if anybody ever picks up a relay that I dropped and it was heavy there will a scale ticket with it. 99% of the time it will be a CAT Scale ticket. I also write down on the envelope the year and make of my truck. I also note what the fuel level was when I scaled.Projektf350 Thanks this.
