Type into google "i80 truck stops" or any interstate number. The website find fuel stops usually the first one, shows you all your stops and most of the big chains it puts their prices on it updated daily.

Fueldesk on Internet Truckstop. I can save $20-30 per fill planning my stops. As well as getting my IFTA within $50 rebate at my filings every time.

I've never found anyone that could explain that accurately.

I had a employer that said he didn't care where we fueled because it came out the same at the end of the year. It didn't make sense to me.

    Simple.

You buy the fuel in higher fuel tax states and then the miles may be in lower fuel priced states.

I run alot in the upper midwest. MN, WI, IL, IA, MO. I try to buy my fuel mainly in IL or in WI. Those states have the highest IFTA. As a side benefit, they tend to have about the same pump price, giving you a lower BASE price.

If you buy in a high IFTA state, when you go to say IA or MO where there's only a 17 or 22.5 Cents per gallon IFTA, you need fewer gallons purchased in a state like IL where it's 42 CPG to cover your IFTA bill.

Im glad here in Florida we dont worry about that IFTA fuel tax stuff! Just fuel and go. I fuel at Marathon gas station. They have Diesel pumps with high ceiling and pumps for both tanks on each side. $3.65 a gallon. The cheapest i seen in florida. Marathon on 50th st. and broadway in Tampa fl close to I- 4 exit 3.

http://www.truckmiles.com/FuelPrices.asp will show you the average fuel price per state over the week and the current state sales tax.

It also has a column for the average price minus the sales tax which is what ends up being the affective price paid at the end of the day (or quarter actually) after paying IFTA from my understanding.
