Why not find the starving eobr guys who will sell fuel for $1 per gallon anywhere? thats so cheap who cares about the fuel tax.......... Yep i opened the can of worms! lmfao
now be good little boys and have that 2 hour traffic jam logged at 5mph instead of 65mph. -
What I use. https://mystc.nastek.com/login.aspx
Gotta be a member to log in and see the network prices. Also tells whether fuel going up or down next day. -
One of the things that my carrier does right is on fuel. They have a section of their website where they show fuel stops by state, the current discount, and the fuel price minus the state fuel tax. I can get online and check along my run and see who has the cheapest fuel. Sometimes it is over 40 cents a gallon off the cash pump price.
If I didn't have something like that, I could always go online to the truckstop websites or use the truckstop chain apps to check prices. Then factor out the state fuel tax to see who has the best pricing. Many folks just look at pump price. To find what fuel is really costing, you have to factor out the state fuel tax.
If it wasn't so darn windy so much this year, fuel would not be a major issue. The wind is what has cost me so much in fuel. I am getting rather tired of 25-30 mph crosswinds almost every day across Iowa on I80. -
Well you could complain, but nobody would listen.

I also buy my fuel by the pre tax price, but mine is on NASTC's website mystic software fuel pricing site that takes a few minutes to compare stops along my route to find the best pre tax price.

cowpie, as much as they may service YOU and others
its not fair, that the bigger guys pay LESS, even with the concept of volume discount and corporate leverage
it creates an environment where "the rich get richer, and the poor hold the bag"
my father and i had this discussion when he sold his house for five times he paid for it
it was great for him, but he could not longer afford to buy the house he was selling, so it affected everyone else in a negative effect -

Careful there.
Tax rates don't seem right.
