    Deduct a penny or two from Pilot/J price for Loves & add 10-15 cents for T/A. The latter is for a particular T/A in Hudson, WI that also has a exit that I am pretty sure the local Air Guard used for practice bombing missions at one point.

    I got greedy and fueled up lower price diesel in Pilot , Love's truck stops few month ago during winter; didn't pay attention to bio %; got what I paid for; I noticed they are posting a green label on the pumps, marked B(bio up to%)5,B10,B20,; higher the number worst MPG i'm getting in my truck; aslo had problem with filters in colder weather. I have read , the high % bio diesel is not recommended in new motors with high pressure injectors. Volkswagen will void warranty for turbo diesel models if the engine fails due to the use of biodiesel over 5%;

    doesnt volume discount apply in everything?
    i shop at costco so as to not pay truckstop prices
    if we had no volume discounts where would it end
    you would be willing to pay same per oz for cereal
    whether you bought big box or single serving?

    and dad should have sold his house at 1977 price :biggrin_2556:

    you have to know some of the t/a's don't participate in the discount programs and their fuel is higher like Greenville,tn on I-81.

    you are looking for everybody is equal deal,, not the way it works. its up to you to find a way to get discounts. example if you broker a load thru mercer, they can issue u a tch card to get settlements on, if you use that card to fuel you get the discounts guys leased to mercer gets, use your head to get what you what, instead of sitting around saying life aint fair.

    If you purchase fuel in NC, you will get a credit of $0.375 per gallon on the IFTA return.
    If you purchase fuel in VA, you will get a credit of $0.175 per gallon on the IFTA return PLUS all gallons consumed in VA will be assessed a surcharge of $.035 per gallon consumed. NC is the better choice as long as price of NC is less than VA plus $0.20.

    I'm glad I don't have to think about this IFTA crap too much. It would make my head hurt :biggrin_25526:

    So not only would I have to determine where to buy fuel so I got the best deal, then I would have to remember where I would either get cash back or have to pay extra due to IFTA.

    I love regulation.

    This is why some do not do well owning a truck. Many folks just think they can buy a truck and get the "big" money. They tend to forget it is a business and you have to approach it with a business mindset.
