I have a 2007 western star, in the shop and the full gauge is new and still not working. I have tested ground at sending unit at the tank. It does not have power at sending unit. The tank is half full and i have look all over to see if there a fuse or anything and have found nothing. Any ideas ?

What is the gauge reading right now? Completely full or completely empty? Sometimes my sending unit will get stuck in the full position if I jerk the truck around and the fuel gets sloshing in the tanks.

Since new, my 07 Star has gone to empty for a few minutes, then worked fine for days. Never quit long enough to find the issue. You'll just have to start checking wires, as you are most likely grounded out.

Is there a web sit that i can look at wireing diagram. theres 2 wire coming from fuil sending unit. i have tested for ground witch i have and tested for power and do not have power to sending unit. im thinking there should be power there. Is there a fuse or some thing im missing? i have tested all fuse up on dash, all are good. im new with these big trucks and just dont know where to look.

2 wires on sending unit? One is ground, one is to the gauge. Ground both of them with the ignition "on". If the gauge has power and the and the wires are grounded, the gauge should read full. The sending unit is $60, and the gauge is $90. It is cheaper to throw two pars at it than for a shop to look at it. There minimum is more than that.
