back in the day no respectable human being shoveled his trash out along the parking lot
not just the new truckers
the world has all gone wrong in one generation
i never suffered from a good spanking
now if i gave one out i would be in jail for child abuse
i wanted to slap the driver that left his truck on the scale to go get his ticket too
he would of hated being knocked over by a 60 year old

I would of used it in some spots if needed. I was lucky in the fact that pretty much every place that was impossible to find parking at night I could park at a shipper/receiver I knew. Now I only sleep in hotels so it doesn't matter, but I'd use it as a last resort.

From TA's website:
Some TA locations offer Preferred Parking.
At Preferred Parking sites, you will receive 24 hours of FREE parking for every 50 gallons of fuel purchased, up to a maximum of 72 hours of parking (3 days), at a single location.
Additionally, you receive up to 24 hours of FREE parking when you spend a minimum of $20 in the store, restaurant or service area at the Preferred Parking location.
Without a minimum purchase, the first two hours or parking are free; thereafter, there is a daily parking fee.
UltraONE Platinum Members receive 24 hours of FREE parking per month at participating Preferred Parking sites. Certificates can be printed at the kiosk. -
Preferred parking and reserved parking are two different things

I am by no means condoning throwing your trash out in the parking lot. But I also see a lot places that need more trash receptacles. Just like the place I am at tonight.

It's a nice option that's saved my butt when I've been running low on minutes before I was out of hours, and that time of day when just about every spot and other option are no longer available.
We get reimbursed for it as well. -
I wish I could say you were wrong. I guess I was brought up. If you use a service you should pay something. When around home/on trips in POV and I need to use bathroom. I always buy something. (even if overpriced) There is a Super America by MN international airport. I like to park there waiting for person to come in. If I don't need fuel, (ok have room for any) I at least buy a ice cream treat after using bathroom. (parking) And I am cheap.
Leave places as you found them (or better)
I remember free showers (With large enough fill) or at least half price. It was a dang nice place. (sad to say I don't recall where, Western edge of NY state IIRC... Nice clean bathroom (stool, shower, sink/mirror, towels, and when done you hand in key (it did have inside manual lock) and they went in with strong smelling cleaning stuff. (I still used sandels but it was clean) -
I don't get re-imbursed , as I'm an OO , but as I said earlier , I'll pay to have a spot. I'm on electronic logs , so when my day is up , it's up . Thank goodness I have a choice , that's what's important .
I'll take a TA/Petro over most all else , anytime. No door knockers , safe, clean , again, for the most part. -
Right. How hard is it for you to spend $20.00 in a TS ?
