M-Driver-AS you read in my pasts threads I we truck our own seafood. I do all the books for my two sons who do almost all the lobstering. As lobstermen, they can now use cable t. v. as a deduction within the season. Feb. to Jan. My tax man verified it. That is because of The Weather Channel. I never thought of asking him can I do the same on the trucking side of our business. I know what I have to pay for cable. It all helps. At 3.00 lb it costs them 2.83 to catch them. Mike-Z

 

Always run your own plates, they will screw u one way or another using there plates. and don't worry too much on big numbers all the time its your avg that counts I.e. taking that lower paying load sometimes just as long u are not wasting your time hauling it so u can get to that better paying load. If u get on company that has good freight do % if u wiling to run can make some good money doing % just get your own auth can always put on inactive status after a year and only person u can blame is u if not making money instead of relying on some dispatcher deciding where and how much u going to make.
