Well, mine seems to be set right. idled at 72 no problems. Also noticed the parameters for charged idle related to bonus changed for my account. Now up to 10% charged idle.

Yes, we did take a pay cut but being able to bring food from home and stay out of the truck stops has made that per mile stipend stretch a lot further, not to mention the miles they put on us seems to be more than Schneider ever gave us. The pay check should be smaller, but for some reason, its not....its actually a lot bigger than it was with Schneider. Chris can take Rebel with him and that helps him stay out longer than he did before. Having a little company is great for him not to mention it gives him incentive to live a little healthier than he did before. When an 85 pound labrador wants to stretch his legs, there is no arguing or procrastinating.

I think I met him and Rebel sitting at a dock, tell him thanks for letting me watch Mash, he might remember we were both tired of waiting

If you watched Mash, then that was definitely him. Hes a Mash fanatic. Glad he could help you out, and I hope Rebel remembered his manners.

SNI has officially gotten rediculous with their idle requirements. Recently I was down in Hotlanta at the OC trying to finish out my 10 one afternoon. The heat in my truck had woke me out of a dead sleep earlier that day, so I started idling with the AC cranked and went back to bed. I got a knock on the door a few hours later from an extremely rude OSR demanding that I shut my truck off and threatening to call my DBL. According to the National Weather Service (not my truck's outside temp indicator) it was 77 degrees outside, well above the 70 degree threshold. So what's the deal? Are we not allowed to idle at all now?

would have loved to hear the answer to the question " how am I supposed to get actual restful sleep and then drive safely without being cool enought to sleep comfortably?"

Was too tired to argue with the guy at the time. I just moved to the other side of the parking lot and went back to bed. Had I not been trying to sleep I would have had a few things to say, trust me.

That makes twice now that I've had OSRs mad at me for doing something completely within the confines of company policy from what I understand. The other time was for my "slip and oil resistant" cowboy boots.

Amen, that OSR needs to reported. He cannot do that. Man next time I go to Atlanta I am going to idle like crazy and hope I get that bully to come to my truck.

    KD8FQB Thanks this.
