    got a 2006 8600 day cab.no marker lights.no feed on brown wire going into the bcm,so obviously nothing on the output side.can't activate lights with dlb either.what feeds power to the brown wire going into bcm from cab?thanks in advance.:biggrin_2552:

    All those brown wires are outputs only. You should have power out when the switch is turned on. The five upper cab markers are on a different connector and different output from the hood and tail light markers. To turn the lights on the body controller is looking for a digital input from the headlight switch. If you had a short in the lights it would only affect the either the upper markers, or hood markers, but not both. I doubt you have two failed light output circuits on the body controller. If the body controller senses an over current condition caused by a short, it will cut power to that circuit until you cycle the key. Since you cannot turn on the lights with DLB, the body controller may only be locked up. Disconnect the body controller main battery cable for 5 mins and reconnect it. This will reboot it.

    customer has truck and has not brought it back......yet.can't go far without lights..then again you never know.
