mid-roof sleeper - height?

Go ahead & build both the same height, that way you won't have to worry about either one.

 

this or you will wish you did later.

 

My stack is set at 12'6", and is maybe @18" higher than the roof of the sleeper. That is on a Columbia midroof XT.

My Kenworth T2000 is 11' 2" without the aerodynamic cap on top.

 

Most mid roofs have stacks that are 12'4 - 12'7. You would want it to be 13 anyway. If its not to much more just got with full height for both.

 

Depends who owns the truck, and what you haul.
Grain trucks have them lower than that to miss overhead stuff when they load, us low boy haulers have them wherever we want them, a lot of trucks have weed burners, and so on.
Dont ASSume everyone drags a van around and drives a company truck.

Sounds to me like the OP wants to improve versatility of the building, in that case I'd go with 14-15' high by at least 12' wide on both doors. For a mid roof you'd want at least 12' high, if you can fit the extra 2-3' you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't get it. The shop I used to work at had 15' x 15' doors, had a little room on each side, but not as much as you might think.

 

You can't build a shop too big nor the door too tall or wide.
