I'm allowed to carry non lethal weapons any style taser but if going to Canada it can't be one that shoots the barbs and can't have a trigger. As for having a a pistol on a cmv it's not a against the law if u have the permit but more then likely against company policy.
Is it legal to conceal carry with permit in a semi

I don't even own a gun! Don't need one, also, don't need to brag about being tough or brag about where I'm from to make others think I'm tough.. Don't care, say what you want, just don't try to harm me or my family and all is well. Call me names, what ever, doesn't matter...
-
Why do you need a seat belt at work? Protecting yourself is no different at work or at home. I carry at work because I will always take responsibility for my own safety. I will always do everything I can to make sure I can return to my family.OPUS 7, Ghost Ryder and Busasamurai Thank this.

come on now , I know your smarter then that . Nobody is talking about a job that requires you to have a gun , were talking about the trucking industry and only the trucking industry
-
In the trucking industry , the best weapon is COMMON SENSE , and STREET SMARTS , if you have both of them then you don't need a gun in your truck .roadlt Thanks this.

If that's the case then why do I need one at home, personal car, walkin down the street etc...
Am I magically protected at work but not on personal time?
Think before you speak. Please. Youre just going to look bad if you don't.
Sent from somewhere out thereAXE, VisionLogistics and Ghost Ryder Thank this. -
I agree that common sense is important. I respect your right to have the opinion that I don't need to carry. I choose to carry, that is my right. I hope I NEVER have to use my firearm, but I am willing to. It's the same to me as using my seat belt. I hope I never need it, but I put it on every time I climb behind the wheel.

That's true everywhere. Not just in trucking. But sometimes the best situational awarness and attentivness will stop nothing. If a bad guy wants to mess with you he will. But being aware helps more than.people realize.

16 mass shooting in the us last year with 88 people dead...... sheep like you that think something like that can never happen at work...... will be in the 88.... i carry not because it make me feel tough but if someone goes bat crazy at starbucks or MC D......remember when some not job went hunting at MC D in ca a few years ago....?
i will protect my family and my wife is my codriver......Busasamurai, grizzly, daddy2twins and 3 others Thank this. -
If ya feel ya need to carry, do what ya got to do. If you don't, don't carry. For myself, its a PITA to carry. Too many places you have to declare. If there is an area where I feel I need to carry, I avoid going there.
