They actually changed the law in Illnois as of December 2012 when the supreme court ruled there ban on concealed weapons unconstitutional. Well I don't know if its a federal law but its some kind of agreement between states I was in the paper out her about a year ago it happened.

Illinois does not issue any type of Permit/License to carry a firearm concealed.
The United States Court of Appeals For the Seventh Circuit ruled on December 11, 2012 that Illinois ban on issuing Concealed Carry Permit/Licenses was Unconstitutional. They were ordered to come up with a law in 180 days. This decision will most likely be appealed and the order stayed for a period of time.

That is a direct quote from handgunlaw.us. You can NOT carry a concealed firearm in Illinois.

As a Pennsylvania resident, Open Carry advocate, and every day carrier of a .357 Magnum revolver...please allow me to weigh in on this statement.

Since I no longer drive truck for a living, I've gotten involved in a variety of other projects to gain income. These days, I'm self-employed as a doer of whatever needs done that I can get paid to do. And in doing this, I do occasionally wind up working on the "wrong side of the tracks", if you will. And yes, I carry my gun while working (remember, EVERY DAY carrier here.) I do not carry a gun to show off, to impress people, or to be a "phony tough guy"....I carry a gun because some of the people I deal with on a daily basis are either already convicted violent criminals or criminals who have not been caught yet. Having my gun on my hip has prevented at least three encounters with individuals (I prefer the term "savages", but you might get your precious panties in a twist) who felt they had more claim to my money/vehicle/blood than I did. And those are just the situations I am aware of. I have no idea how many other possible situations that were stopped in the planning stages when the savage...I'm sorry, "economically challenged individual" saw my gun from across the street.

You are free to think whatever you think about me for carrying a gun. Frankly, I don't care what you think. I have a Constitutionally Protected Right to Keep and Bear Arms. I also have the right to defend myself. I refuse to give up either right just because you think I'm a "phony tough guy".

And in case you are wondering, I have been attacked twice in my life by "economically challenged individuals" who brought weapons to the dance. I managed to survive both encounters (obviously) only through the judicious use of knives and a willingness to cause more damage unto the savages than they were willing to absorb. I have yet to be attacked by a savage since I started carrying a gun. As they say, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

well I hope that day never comes about your wife , but what makes you think that the OTHER people don't have guns too , or they get to you before you could get your gun out , don't get confused with a false sense of security.... and by the way , where the hell do you live that it takes 30 min. for help to come ?

You just contradicted yourself from your own previous post about the possibility of another person having a weapon.

If you think you need a gun to go to Mcdonalds or a starbucks , then you are the prime example of someone who should NOT own a gun.......:biggrin_25513:
