I have said in other posts that if your job requires the use of a gun , that's fine. This post started about the trucking industry , and there is no reason to carry a gun , while driving a truck .

Keep a steel bar or piece of wood in the truck , and fight . I am not saying to never defend yourself , but there is no reason to drive around making deliveries and needing a gun to do so , if you feel you need a gun at work , change your job.....

I used to love to fight, but I found out last year that a crow hop punch to the face hurts alot more than it used to, I have no problem defending myself man to man fist to fist, but, if someone pulls any kind of weapon on me I dang sure aint try to fist fight, if that's what you choose then good luck..

i live outside a small town.... at night the response time to a man with a gun call is 10-20min...... that is of course AFTER someone calls 911... and even if the cops get there 3min after you call it's still AFTER you call so your wife was still raped and killed..... you and the 5 people in starbucks are still dead.....

old saying and very true even today " when seconds count the cop's are ONLY minutes away"

No, I think the zionazi Bloomberg banned koolaid in that fetid sewer, didn't he? Now everyone is safe from koolaid, and large soft drinks, and salt on their meals... oh, and guns? What are the stats on gun related crime in New York again? :)

My job does not require the carrying of a gun. Indeed, several of my contracts would prefer that I not carry a gun, much like the trucking industry. That said, I still carry every day. And will continue to do so until the day they finally plant my six feet under.

Opinions are like XXXholes everyone has one. I prefer a SW 45 to hunk wood or bat tends to have a little more stopping power. As I have said I do not carry a gun in my truck, the question at hand was a concealed weapon not whether you are man enough to do your job with out one. Personally the best defense is common sense but to think you can get out and fight with a bat in an area you know nothing about against how many thugs is ludicrous I don't care how big a man you are.

This day and age a person should carry a gun everywhere.
