I have said in other posts that if your job requires the use of a gun , that's fine. This post started about the trucking industry , and there is no reason to carry a gun , while driving a truck .

I used to love to fight, but I found out last year that a crow hop punch to the face hurts alot more than it used to, I have no problem defending myself man to man fist to fist, but, if someone pulls any kind of weapon on me I dang sure aint try to fist fight, if that's what you choose then good luck.. -
old saying and very true even today " when seconds count the cop's are ONLY minutes away" -

Opinions are like XXXholes everyone has one. I prefer a SW 45 to hunk wood or bat tends to have a little more stopping power. As I have said I do not carry a gun in my truck, the question at hand was a concealed weapon not whether you are man enough to do your job with out one. Personally the best defense is common sense but to think you can get out and fight with a bat in an area you know nothing about against how many thugs is ludicrous I don't care how big a man you are.

This day and age a person should carry a gun everywhere.
