Would I void the warranty on my truck if I get an authorized viper alarm dealer to install one?

I would call the dealership in which you purchased the truck or if you have copy of the warranty there should be some contact information on it in which you can contact them and find out fore sure.

Look at how many aftermarket alarms are on cars under warranty and how youve never heard a story about a voided warranty.

I seriously doubt that an alarm could void a warranty, car dealerships even offer them on new cars.... I wouldnt worry about it.
Are you worried about a break in or vehicle theft?

Yeah, but we're talking Volvo here. Electrical nightmares.

They told me as far as the alarm works only when engine is off and does not interfere with electrical systems (no bypass wire cutting) is good to go. So I got one with the gps tracking. Its awesome to check doors open or windows down, location and position on my iphone. Got 25$ off on my insurance as well. Now I can sleep worry free. I recommend it if you can spare a grand.
