Your wrong on the BCO side, correct on the broker side. There are many BCO contracts out there, but the agents commission is built into the percentage that Landstar takes. I'm under the current 73% of 100% contract leaving Landstar 27% to divy up between the agent and themselves. So if I do a load for OZR, I get 73%, OZR gets 7%, and corporate gets 20%.

Ok .... and im not trying to argue...but isn't it 73% of 98% and not 100%? Because you get your load from the agent and OZR stated that he gets them at 98%????

A while back ie before me, LS had a 75% of 98% contract for BCO's, they also had a 80% a long time ago too. My contract and everyone leased since me is based on 100%, not 98%.

    russellkanning and Clasix1055 Thank this.

Depends how old your contract is for both agents and BCO's. They did away with the 2% prerip awhile back. I am under that type of contract, pulling a van I get 67% of 98% plus 8% of 98% for my trailer....newbies coming in today get 65% of 100% pulling a company van plus 7% of 100% for their own trailer. Not sure of the breakdown on the platform or HH side.

65+8% for platform and 1% for every axle over 5. I pull a LS trailer after selling mine, but I lease it for 170 a week and get my 8%. They don't offer that for van.
