Does Sytem and TWT still run 379's.

Good day to everyone! Just got done with my first day of orientation at Systems Transport, it went really well, did a urine test, then a drive test, tons of paperwork, watched some videos, log book test, and a 60 question test on rules and regulations to trucking, I aced all of that, im glad that I was taught the new set of standards for HOS being enforced in July, there was some truckers in the class who have been trucking for 6+ years and were really struggling on how to play with your hours to not to have to hit your 34 hour reset. After all of that had to go to do a health fitness thing to see how are hearing and blood pressure and such is, then a lift test with weights and all motor functions, carry test with weights, I didnt struggle with it but they had a heartbeat strap around my chest and a bracelet to show my heartbeat rate, which made me realize that I am a bit out of shape, had the bracelet beep at me a few times during the heavier stuff, I knew I needed to change my diet faster and workout more but this made me motivated to do it faster, I was a bit embarrassed , no more fast food for me! Anyways overall it was a good day and look forward to the end of this 4 day orientation and get to driving with my trainer, will probably keep doing updates with orientation though to help anyone that is wanting to possibly join on with Systems(TSI I found out is the overall company name for all divisions). Oh and to answer your question TwinStick they had KW t660 2009 and newer for Systems side, which I only saw newer at this place, and oh my do they drive so much freakin sweeter then my truck school vehicles. Have a good evening everyone!
ge23ll, Weeble Kneeble, Rugerfan and 2 others Thank this. -
Good evening to everyone, I am finally done with orientation! tomorrow I meet with my trainer for the next 6-8 weeks, I cannot wait to be in my own truck but will take everything I learn in trucking to heart, not in a rush to hurt myself or anyone else on the road. Orientation was interesting, lots of videos I watched already in trucking school, but policy is policy. Today we were issued fuel cards and ID badges, told us about extra pay for getting positive DOT inspection reports, got to love a company thats willing to pay you to keep up there csa score for all levels of inspections. Interesting enough they have a 500 dollar bonus to each person I recruit to the company up to 2k which is pretty sweet, hey ruger your mailbox is full! was trying to get your info so you could have got hooked up for helping me out so much with this company, so far I am very pleased with everything ive seen and heard from the drivers in the drivers lounge. Anyways just a quick update about whats going on, will keep posting with updates in training. Quick question to everyone, should I change areas of where I post this? move it to the newbie section?
jomar68, Weeble Kneeble and MJ1657 Thank this. -
I would either keep it here, move it to favorite company or motor carriers questions. But I only drag a box (for the time being) around, you're the skateboarder. Your thread, your decision. Good luck and keep us updated.

Just turned in my applications and first round of homework, if all goes as planned, I will be starting school on the 15th and should have my pre-hire letter with System/TWT. Any advice for this greenhorn?

Just be aware things happen in this biz. Things out of your control. So, today's plan can get screwed up, and next week you could be driving for Swift in their south east division.
